On September 4, 2006, I began a "reprise" of a personal month-long faith experiment. For thirty days I joined a few friends in requesting just one thing on a daily basis . . . "God, Surprise Me." This morning I've been reminded of the importance of friends. Aren't they great? All shapes, sizes, opinions, circumstances - and yet the common thread is a certain care, leniency, and charity - freely bestowed - that continues to draw us together.

I'm husband to Krista, father to Jacob, and a believer in the life-changing grace of Jesus. I enjoy playing the guitar. I relish the feel of a well struck golf ball. And the 'blues' makes me smile.
